Durga Sagor, known locally as Madhabpasha Dighi, is the largest water tank or lake in southern Bangladesh. Durga Sagor is located at Madhabpasa village of Babuganj Upazila, about 12 kilometers (6.8 miles) away from Barishal town. The pond was dug during 1780 by Rani Durgavati, who was the mother of Raja Joy Narayan. It is known as the sanctuary of birds.

How To Go

You can come by public bus from Barisal. From the Nathullabad bus terminal, take the Barisal-Banaripara bus to get off Durga Sagar. In addition, micro, private cars, scooters can also be added. Only 25 minutes to 45 minutes from Barisal.
