SHIV CHATURDASHI FAIR

It is one of the oldest cultural and religious fairs in the Indian Sub-continent held around a thousand-years-old Shiva temple that stands 350 meters high at the top of the Chandranath hill located at Sitakunda in Chattogram. The temple is one of the holiest places of pilgrimage for the Hindu Community which is known all over the sub-continent for centuries.

Millions of Hindu pilgrims, devotees, tourists, and representatives assemble at Sitakunda and worship Lord Shiva every year during Chaturdashi tithi in the Bengali month of Falgun which falls in 1st week of March in the English Calendar

 

How To Go

Sitakundo can be reached by Car or Bus from anywhere in Bangladesh. You need to walk a long distance to reach the temple.
