Mir Mosharraf Hossain Memorial Museum

Mir Mosharraf Hossain was born on 13 November 1948 in Lahini Para, Kushtia. Mir Mosharraf Hossain's grandfather Mir Ibrahim's ancestral home is in Padmadi village of Nawabpur union. He was a child of the Nawab family. The Nawab spent most of his life working in the state. In 185, he became the manager of Delduar Estate in Tangail and went to Delduar. The Mir Mosharraf Hossain Memorial Center was built by the Ministry of Culture in 1999 around his tomb at Padmadi, the ancestral home of Mir Mosharraf Hossain, the author of Bishad Sindhu. At present, it is under the management of Bangla Academy.

How To Go

The distance from Dhaka to Rajbari is 120 km. From Gabtoli Bus Terminal, it is possible to travel through Rabeya Paribahan, Rozina Paribahan, Lalon Paribahan, Sohardya Paribahan to Kumarkhali in Kushtia via Rajbari. AC bus fare up to Rajbari is Rs.500 / - and non-AC bus fare is Rs.250 / -.

From Baliakandi Upazila town of Rajbari district, one can go to Mir Mosharraf Hossain Memorial Center at Padmadi village of Nawabpur Union by easy bike or scooter.
