It is situated in Mymensingh containing the 800 artworks of Zainul Abedin who is the pioneer of Bangladesh’s modern art movement. The establishment of this museum occurred in 1975 under the supervision of Zainul Abedin. At the entrance of the museum, one will see a monumental statue of the artist including his biographical information. After knowing the instructions which are required to visit the place, one must collect the ticket. As the museum is located close to the Brahmaputra river, it adorns the greenish environment of the place even more. There are two floors of the museum building and the gallery walls are painted in blue. The corridor of the museum is filled with Zainul Abedin’s family and work life related photographs. The demonstration of creative artworks of artists is in the museum gallery. Renowned artworks with deep inner meaning are manifested here along with his used color brush, dress, and other materials. The whole museum area is surrounded by vibrant flowers and trees which have embellished the place like a painting. Visitors will certainly enjoy the serenity of peace. How to go
From Dhaka, one can go to Mymensingh by train or highway transportation system. After reaching there, one must pursue local transportation that will lead to Zainul Abedin Street. The Museum is within a walking distance of the road.
