Catkin flowers which are famously known as “Kashful” are the sign of Autumn’s arrival with the semblance of whitish shades. It is a stemmed flower plant.

Three types of catkin flowers grow in Bangladesh, especially in the riverside area. Among them, plain land is considered a suitable place for one type, and the other two's growth occurs in hilly areas. These places have earned a venerable position in nature admirers’ minds.

Near Dhaka, one can enjoy the supple beauty of catkin by visiting Bowbazar of Sonargaon, Diyabari, Green Model Town, Dhaka Uddan Silicon City, Aftab Nagar, Hazratpur of Keraniganj, Mirpur Beribadh, Northern side of Khilkhet Market, 300 feet highway of Bashundhara. The banks of the Padma river are also a place to enjoy the prettiness of catkins. Among them, Bowbazar Sonarhgaon catkin ground is considered the largest one but the Diabari catkin ground is the most visited place as it is situated at a comfortable distance.

There are also some prominent places for witnessing this beauty outside of Dhaka. Habiganj catkin yard, Gopalganj, and some other areas are famous for observing this beauty.

Usually, catkin flowers grow in a vast number with a surreal white expanse. The radiant view of this natural element under the sunlight is enough for mesmerizing someone for the rest of their life. When the breeze flows over it, the whole ground gazes like a shining ocean of pearls. The expanse of crystal clear sky above them enchants the atmosphere further.
